The LDL Cholesterol is Not as Bad as you Think

Elevated levels of LDL (bad) are considered unhealthy, but according to a study in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at Texas A & M, LDL cholesterol is not as bad as you think, especially in people older exercisers. In a study published in the journal “The Journal of Gerontology” have studied 54 sedentary adults aged 60 to 69, in good health. When participants started an exercise program ‘quite strong’ the researchers were surprised to find that they gained more muscle mass also increased LDL cholesterol levels. The study’s author, Dr. Reichman, believes that these high levels of LDL cholesterol are not bad in themselves, but a warning that something is wrong, or an unhealthy diet or lack of exercise. LDL cholesterol is also necessary for normal functioning of tissues, is known in bodybuilding for some time, it is difficult to gain muscle mass when LDL levels are low in blood.
When analyzing a result with high LDL cholesterol levels in blood, you should check the general health and check the level of exercise you do each person.
